Earlier last week the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) released an article on the release of the photo album “Mt. Paektu.” Fifty low quality images were released with the article, which is a record for a single press release on their website.

The Foreign Languages Publishing House in the DPRK brought out a photo album “Mt. Paektu” on the occasion of the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (Feb. 16).
The album consists of parts “Mt. Paektu, Holy Place of Revolution”, “Mt. Paektu Seen from Lake Chon”, “Fantastic Rocks of Mt. Paektu” and “Blizzards of Mt. Paektu”.
Edited in it are more than 60 photos showing the general view, peaks and rocks and blizzards of Mt. Paektu, including the sunrise on Mt. Paektu.
